Workout Types Available in Nix Solo

How to select and update your workout types

Overview

The Nix Solo app supports a wide range of workout types across various sports and training styles. Your preferences are initially set during onboarding, but can be updated anytime in Settings.

Selecting the correct workout type helps improve data accuracy, keeps your sweat data organized, and allows you to better understand how your hydration needs vary across different activities.

Workout Types Offered in Nix Solo:

Workout types are selected during onboarding and can be updated at any time in Settings. Below is the current list of workout types available in the Nix Solo app.

Note: “Other” will always available at the start of a workout, regardless of your selected preferences.

How It Works:

Onboarding

During onboarding, you’ll select the workout types you plan to use with Nix. These selections determine which options appear when you start your first workout.

You can update your selections at any time by navigating to Settings > Workout Types.

Pace Input

If you select Running or Cycling during onboarding, you’ll be prompted to enter your expected training pace. This helps optimize the respiratory model used during data collection for improved accuracy.

You can update your pace at any time by going to Settings > Profile > Training Pace.

You’ll also have the option to edit your pace before and after each workout. If you’re unsure of your pace, simply select "Not Applicable" and update it later.

Starting a Workout

Your selected workout types will automatically appear as options when you begin a workout.

“Other” will always be an available activity type, even if it’s not included in your selected preferences.

If your activity isn’t listed, click the refresh button to update your current workout preferences inclusive of your activity types.

Settings

To update your workout preferences at any time, navigate to Settings > Workout Types.

Selecting the relevant workout type at the time of your Nix workout ensures your hydration recommendations are consistently aligned with your training and individual needs.
