Both FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) are pre-tax savings accounts, set up exclusively for qualifying medical/health expenses. These are often offered as an employee benefit, allowing individuals to set aside part of their paycheck (before taxation) for forthcoming health expenditures in order to make healthcare a little more affordable.
(HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). This means you can now use your HSA or FSA debit card to buy Nix products with pre-tax dollars, resulting in net savings of 30-40%, depending on your tax bracket.
Flex has partnered with Nix to enable consumers to use their HSA/FSA funds. You can think of Flex as an alternative to payment method, similar to PayPal.
These accounts can only be used for “qualifying medical expenses” — a list that is published every year by the IRS. This is also where Nix partnering with Flex comes in. They are able to help customers identify and secure documentation to support your hydration needs.
To use your HSA or FSA debit card, add products to your cart as usual. At checkout, select “Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA” as your payment option. During the checkout process you will enter into a chat feature where you will answer a few simple questions about your medical background to secure your Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN) and utilize your FSA/HSA funds at checkout.
