Predictive Calculator

Use this tool to calculate your hydration strategy for an upcoming training session based on the expected weather forecast

Predictive Calculator:

Similar to the Race Day Calculator that leverages 10 years of historic weather data combined with your personal Nix workout history, the Predictive Calculator leverages the upcoming weather forecast for your workout location and date to generate a customized hydration strategy for you.

The Predictive Calculator analyzes how your body has performed historically under similar environmental conditions that are expected for your next training session based on the upcoming forecast. By combining forecasted temperature, humidity, dew point, wind speed, solar load, and altitude with your personal sweat metrics from previous workouts in similar conditions, the Predictive Calculator aims to provide the most relevant and timely guidance possible.

In order to use this calculator, users must log a minimum of one workout below and one workout above the predicted Nix Index for the upcoming training session. It’s important to have a number of workouts across a variety of environments in order to maximize the calculators offered within Nix Solo.

How To Use It:

To use the Predictive Calculator in the Nix Solo app, navigate to the Home Screen and scroll through the Calculators modal, or navigate to Settings > Calculators:

Note: this calculator can be used for outdoor workouts only. Additionally, a user must have at least one workout logged above and one workout logged below the predicted Nix Index for the upcoming workout in order to utilize this calculator.
